Art as a tool for intercultural engagement

Updated: Jul 12, 2022

In addition to the Garden Gang, a handful of youth from Entr’Ados also got to explore the multicultural story of their own neighbourhood. They took part in a poetry and photography project that explored various ethnic businesses and foods from Latin American, North African, and Asian countries. Using new skills in photography and graphic design they are editing their own book based on their experiences! We worked in cooperation with a local organization specialized in the needs of newcomers to Canada. The project was conceived as a creative and experiential way to build social inclusion. It allows us to embody our belief that all people are made in the image of God and are infinitely valuable!
