Just as God’s Kingdom starts with the tiniest of seeds, our work begins with sowing seeds among the youngest in our communities. The Children’s Library at Innovation Youth made it their aim to help children, many who are newcomers to Canada, learn French as a second or third language. This prepares them for primary education in French and contributes to social inclusion for them and their families. To accomplish this, the library held a day camp for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. Each day was filled with fun learning activities and surrounded by caring staff, interns and volunteers. They also enjoyed the summer sun contributing to maintenance of some of our urban gardens!
