Youth Worker

My name is Jonathan DeClet and I work with Christian Direction since the fall of 2017. My family and I moved to Quebec from Colorado as missionaries working with the organisation ReachGlobal. Why Montreal? Why Quebec? Simply to live in the context of a city as a family serving people around us and showing our faith as peace agents. Thanks to the partnership between the two organisations, we have the possibility of being effectively the “hands and feet” of Jesus here in Quebec. 

Presently, I am a worker with Innovation Youth. Through my work, I can put to good use my experience and thus help teenagers with their homework and the challenges they face in life in order that they obtain their high school diploma and learn how to navigate in our complex world. The youth in Montreal represent the future. If we don’t invest in them, we won’t be able to transform their lives. I am happy to be able to participate in improving their lives!
