Call for applicants

Christian Direction is looking for applicants for participation in semi-structured interviews for a research study on domestic abuse in the church in Québec. We are looking for 10-15 participants who are:

• Older than eighteen years old 

• Survivors of domestic abuse from a romantic partner…

  • who are no longer in the abusive relationship…

  • who were connected to the Christian faith or a Christian community while they experienced this abuse…

  • who were living in Québec when they experienced abuse

• Participants do not need to be current churchgoers

• Participants do not need to currently identify as Christian

 

Interview participants will be provided a 50$ Ubereats gift card so you can consider buying rather than preparing a meal on the day of the interview. Compensation will be provided for transportation costs. Christian Direction will assist with the financial costs of childcare during the interview for those with childcare needs.

 

Interviews can be performed at the Christian Direction offices, at a suitable location of the interviewees choice, or by phone/online.
